I made the bg with different colors of acrylic paint spread with a ruler, then I used an old comb to make the lines, once dry I embossed it, then I burned the borders which reminds me my first love story...I wrote some love letters and burned the borders hen I was 14...stop dreaming!! After I burned the borders I stamped the girl I stamped the image several times because of the embossing it wasn't easy, then I stamped the white linen only on the border and added twine I used foam to glue my panel and stamped the sentiment on top

WOW what a cool looking card! Thanks for describing your process...I bet it was difficult stamping over the embossed part but it ended up looking great...that face is so interesting on top of the pink, purple, and gold colors...very artistic. You made me laugh with your burned letters story....I'm glad you tried doing the burned edges...wasn't sure how many would actually try that. Thanks for playing along

LOL, sometimes I have forgotten to stamp till after I embossed - now I have learned to plan ahead and make sure to stamp first. You did a great job - and the colours in your background are so beautiful.

This is a terrific card! I love your torn focal image and the grid and twine are perfect along that outside edge.
