 | | I made this card for this week's featured stamper who is Donna (aka krashscrapper). I am so glad I checked this out because I was not aware of Donna's work and her gallery is just lovely. Donna does fun and whimsical so very well which is something I am terrible at, but would like to get better at. Donna makes a lot of square cards which are fun too. I chose this card of Donna's as my inspiration card: Good Times by Krashscrapper at Splitcoaststampers. These little birds are so stinkin cute I can hardly stand it. I am pretty sure I will be getting this bird stamp. These birds reminded me of this penguin stamp I have that has 3 adorable penguins on it. Donna uses a lot of circles on her cards and I wanted to try that because using a square layer did not work well with the embossed layer on the card. I made a lot of changes to Donna's original design, but I was drawn to the colors of blue she used and to the red in it. I am also entering this card into this week's Alphabet challenge for the letter P for Penguin. I embossed the light blue panel, then used a finger dauber to add SU Ballet ink to the raised areas to highlight them. I cut the exquisite circles out of glitter cs twice, then cut each one in half so I could make the circle big enough to work with the image panel. These penguins were a lot of fun to color with alcohol markers. I added a little glitter with a 2-way glue pen to add to the frosty feel of this image.
