The collection was made to demonstrate different options and techniques you have for holiday tags. All tags were punched with the Stampin' Up! Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, but you can make the tag bases rectangular, and use a hole punch instead.
Starting in the back row is the golden deer tag that was created by first covering the tag base rectangle (2"x 4-1/2") edges with gold Washi tape. Be sure to cover the top where you with punch with extra wide tape, or multiple rows of tape. On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock I used Versamark to stamp the "Dasher" deer, then heat embossed with gold embossing powder, I then glued the embossed panel on top of the gold-edged base. Depending on the Washi tape you use, you may have to use extra strong adhesive.
The Santa tag was stamped and hand colored using markers.
The tag on the back row right end was super quick... just applied three parallel rows of Washi tape to one end of the white panel, then stamped "To/From" in Garden Green ink.
The front left card has Washi tape applied to both ends of a Whisper White card base BEFORE it was punched. Note that the left end had two rows of Washi tape applied. The "To/From" sentiment was stamped in Real Red.
The front right tag was made extra long, with a single strip of Washi tape run along the bottom, and a "To/From" sentiment stamped in Garden Green.
I hope these five tags help to inspire you to make your own tags this year. Grab Washi tape at your local craft store while they have their 50% off sales, or even clearance after the holiday season for next year.
