My vision for this card was to make it look like a descriptive directional sign that you might see at a trail head or at the entrance to a park. I started with a Lucky Limeade card base with a layer of retired Everyday Enchantment DSP. I took a scenic piece of DSP from the Momenta Paper pack and divided it into 3 sections then chose a wood grain pattern to mount the panels on. The fasteners I used make it look like the panels have been screwed onto the main sign board. My rickety, leaning sign post has directional arrows made with the Label Card Thinlits and I masked and stamped the sentiment onto oddly shaped chunks of wood grain DSP. They are attached with fasteners to the post as if someone had attached them there and forgotten about them. The Challenge layout called for ribbon and that had me stumped for awhile, as I didn't really feel that ribbon would be suitable on this card. I decided that barbed wire would be more appropriate, so I got out some tan thread, tied little tiny knots about every 4 millimeters and wrapped it haphazardly around the post. It is kind of hard to see in the picture, but I think it was the right finishing touch.

I like your vision for your card, Eunice, and all the attention to detail that you took to create it, right down to the little knots in the twine to make it look like barbed wire! I also like the way you've turned the sketch on its side. Great choice of paper for this theme. Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenge!

That's a really clever vision! The faux barbed wire is great! I think this card would be great for someone who love to tramp or orienteer. It's a lovely take on the sketch. Thank you for joining us again this week at As You See It Challenge.

What a fun card!! It looks like a map for a treasure hunt or scavenger hunt! I love the DSP you used too, and your little road sign is dear! Thanks so much for sharing this at As You See It!
