We've all heard of potato printing, so why not apple printing? A fresh Fuji apple gave it up for art! I cut the apple, wiped off some of the moisture first before putting craft paint onto it with a sponge brush. It was fun and the scale of it reminded me of wallpaper. I stamped the image on a kraft scrap with Versamark, embossed with black EP. Ran it through a Sizzix EF for texture, added brands and wrapped with a piece of raffia. Distressed and roughened up the edges. I think this turned out kind of masculine and westerny, kind of like a Levi's label .

I thought of Levi's label when I saw it in the gallery LOL. Your genuine Fuji Apple stamping is truly inspired Lori.....brilliant! Congratulations on your YETI status.

Well done! I tried potato printing for a challenge option a few years back, and found the wetness of the potato to be a problem unless I let it dry off for a while after cutting my shape...but that wouldn't happen with an apple! It makes a beautiful print, very effective. And the little label is sweet, especially the sentiment.

Very creative....and it turned out beautifully. Like the "apple" colors that you used with your prints. The stamped image looks like a vintage label that was used on the wooden crates that produce was shipped in.

Love your apple print bg, clever way to get an apple bg. Your label looks like an old apple crate with the texturing. Cool card, so glad you've joined the Teaparty, hope I get your card ;)

We almost had the same idea as was going to do but changed my mind---did this with my grandsons a week ago and they loved it. Your card came out great and made a neat background for your label! The things we do for card making---LOL
