The acetate (sky) panel in this card was inspired by the Splitoast tutorial for using acetate on non-porous surfaces. Lydia Fiedler (a.k.a. Understandblue) made me think of using clear Grafix Duralar acetate, when she had a video using the white Duralar. (All I have is the clear, but I figured it would work as well, if I backed it with white cardstock.) I used alcohol inks on a blending tool with felt to color a scrap of acetate. I stamped my images, from "Winter Sparrows," on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink, colored with colored pencils, & die cut with the coordinating dies. I stamped the branch in Wet Cement ink, and shaded with 2 brown colored pencils. I die cut the window with a "Stitched Rectangles" die, and stamped the panel with snowflakes from "Winter in the Park" & "Deck the Halls," using Soft Pool ink. I glued the end of the branch to the back of my panel. behind the window, and adhered my acetate to the back with Scor Tape. I used Perfect Paper Adhesive to glue my birds & music notes to the acetate, and also added more glue under the branch to secure it. I stamped the greeting onto pale blue cardstock, & die cut it with a "Grommet Tags" die. After inking the edges with Broken China, I adhered it to my panel, pierced a hole through either end, and inserted silver mini brads into the holes. Finally, I mounted my card front to a white card base with foam tape.
