I wanted to try one of the recent tutorials on Splitcoast Stampers using Alcohol Inks on Yupo
BUT I don't own any Yupo so I went looking for substitutes. Some one suggested using Gel Medium Wash on paper. I mixed a spoonful of Golden Regular Gel (Gloss) with water until it was a thin consistency and painted it evenly onto Mixed Media paper. I let it dry overnight and then tried the tutorial using Adirondack Alcohol Inks in Raspberry, Citrus and Sailboat Blue.

You did a great job with this technique - even without Yupo paper. It looks awesome!

This card is a stunner!!! Love the bright pastel alcohol background you created, it’s amazing. And I am so impressed that you found a work-around for not having Yupo by making your own substitute with stuff you had on hand. Good job! And great looking card. TFS!
