 | | DD8ABC4D: D is for dancer and double challenge. The double challenge was to do a watercolor wash which is what is around the dancer. I masked her off and watercolor washed River Rock for her ground and soft sky for the upper portion.
SC661: I used the sketch challenge to make this card.
MMTPT476: I'm sending this card to Linda to spread happy thoughts her way.
WT652: I used two old stamps sets that I have had for quite some time, Perfect Princess and Think Happy Thoughts. Both sets are from the 2007 vintage. I had to have Perfect Princess because I have two DDs who both took ballet and loved it. And I love Think Happy Thoughts - as well as Seeing Spots, a set that I think coordinates nicely.
I stamped the background and then decided I wanted to heat emboss it so that meant becoming friends with my stamp-a-ma-jig. Some of the images didn't get lined up perfectly but I thought that was OK anyway. The stamp-a-ma-jig was also used to stamp the flower inside the sentiment circle. The sentiment was also heat embossed.
I colored this adorable ballerina with Prismacolor pencils and framed the image with just a narrow band of black glitter paper. A ribbon down the center where the two back panels meet, the ballerina on top, and the sentiment popped up with dimensionals all placed on a neutral card base.
Thanks for looking! |
