I've opted out of dessert today, but Mary's colors inspired me to go with deep red roses for a card that a friend asked for. She wanted a card with a lot of romance on the front with an inside that says "I'm so happy you got divorced." I've been assured that she did not know her boyfriend when he was still married.
This is not an easy style for me, so I started with the frilliest border punch that I own (and never use because it's too fancy). This Bugaboo digi has a sympathy sentiment inside the frame, but I thought I could definitely do romance with a deep red rose and candle, so I erased the words and replaced them with this bold sentiment. I stamped it three times with black and then embossed it with clear EP. You can't really see it in the picture, but I've covered the whole candle and the flowers in Wink of Stella and also added some dew drops with Glossy Accents. I had some trouble with the border punch. This was my third try and it wasn't possible to get it all perfect. So I covered up the imperfection with a wide ribbon.

Does this fall into the category of "one person's trash is anothers treasure" (ie the inside sentiment) ??? You have created a lovely romantic setting on the outside of this card with the candle, roses and red satin ribbon and obviously the inside sentiment is quite personal to the person who contracted this card.

Your inside message killed me!! I guess you could call this a "Happy Divorce" card....a new one to me, but to the point and the occasion calls for it. You did a great job of filling your friend's request.
