For today's Free for All challenge to make a project incorporating "old wood".
I immediately reached for the new DSP pack from Stampin'Up! called Wood Textures.
I die cut the card base and wood layer from scallop circle dies and then cut off the "curves" with scissors to make it look like a wood slice. Really easy! Cut out the heart with SU's thinlet die and inlaid the interior pieces back into the cutout area so it feels like the heart was carved into the wood. And a quick sentiment on the computer and this card is done...perfect guy card!

Pure genius to use the scallops and then cut them off. Really looks like a slice of wood!! Love it!
