Another card for Send a Smile 4 Kids. I based my design (somewhat loosely) on Sketch #SC569, though I made it a one-layer card. I printed the boy & greeting onto a piece of Mixed Media paper that I'd cut to A2 size. I colored the image with Inktense pencils, using a damp paintbrush to pick up the color & apply it to the paper. Once that was done, I stenciled the top part of the background with Pumice Stone ink & a fingertip sponge dauber, being careful to avoid the boy. I used painters tape to mask off a strip to be a "ledge" that he is sitting on, and applied more ink with my dauber. I then stenciled the bottom part, keeping the ink lighter behind the greeting, so it wouldn't obscure the words. I did get some ink on the image from the ledge & bottom bricks, but just used a water brush to wet the ink & picked it up with a paper towel. (One of the advantages of Distress inks!) Finally, I adhered the card front to a white A2 card base.
