Today's Color Challenge is gold, green, and white. The dessert option is St Patrick's Day but I don't need any St Pat's cards so I went with a Christmas card as the colours are perfect for it.
This is a variation on a card I made last year, but I made it much more gold in tone this time and added the gold die cut Christmas stars.
I sponged with various dark yellows and yellow-browns to get a gold-ish background. I stamped the trees in green (not quite an emerald green but the closest I have). The white comes in with the card base and the chunky white Frantage embossing enamel that I sprinkled over the card and heated from the underside.
The Frantage looks exactly like the large flakes of snow drifting down outside my window today!

Susan, this is absolutely enchanting! I would love to be strolling through that golden lit, snowy forest! Your background is stunning and I love that embossed snow ~ have never heard of Frantage, but must go looking because it's a fabulous way to depict big, fluffy snowflakes.

Love this scene, Susan -great job on the bg, I LOVE those trees, and I love how you did the snow...frontage, never used that before, hmmmmmm, something to add to the list!
Susan, I just hopped in to check out the color challenge colors and gallery. This beautiful card popped right off the screen as the gallery opened. Wow! I love it.
