Made for Christmas Card Throwdown Technique Challenge #04: http://52cct.blogspot.co.uk/ that required the use of the "Starburst" technique.
My favorite colors are aqua/turquoise, so I went right away to my stash of Stampin' Up! Christmas papers to use up some of my scraps. I used the technique tutorial provided by Shannan Tuebner at https://goo.gl/TlWq9K, but she also has one on Splitcoaststampers at: Starburst Background Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I seemed to prefer the starburst coming out of the lower left portion of the card, but there are many variations you can use. I left just a smidgen of space between my rays to allow the SU Bermuda Bay panel to show through. The rays were glued down with Tombow glue.
I created the ornament using the retired 1998 Stampin' Up! "Ornate Ornaments" stamp set, but any ornament stamp should do. I heat embossed it onto Bermuda Bay cardstock using Ranger's Holographic Embossing Powder, then cut it out by hand. Three Recollections aqua rhinestones were added (2 sizes), as well as a silver bow to the neck of the ornament.
The ornament was mounted using Adhesive Foam Strips to a Whisper White oval which I had cut out using my Big Shot and SU's Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. I sponged Bermuda Bay ink around the edges of the oval before mounting it with Tombow glue to a slightly larger Bermuda Bay oval. This assemblage was mounted to the starburst panel using Adhesive Foam Strips.
Before mounting the star burst panel to the Whisper White card base, I again sponged Bermuda Bay to the edges to give a more defined edge to the starburst panel against the white card base.
The starburst technique was really fun to do,,, especially with Shannan's tutorial. The hardest part was me tying a bow on the ornament - I'm hopelessly "bow challenged"!

I love these colours too, and the balance is lovely in this card - the bauble is perfect here, and the eye is really drawn in to it. Thank you for joining in with the Christmas Card Throwdown. Lucinda (DT)
