Mine actually evolved around my week of purging my craft room. So many treasures that were found. This would be an ideal project to use up the rolls of ribbon, jewels, etc..... My idea will be to make one for each month. It would make a beautiful gift for someone. Making the journal was pretty simple....took the tag board paper and scored at the half point. With the craft knife four slits to run the ribbon through. Punched two holes at the middle score line and made the binding by adding gold thread. The front panel was made by penning the month in gold. Added gold spatters and the medallion. The hardest part was tying the ribbon. Next month...use a softer ribbon.
