My wonderful MIL is a quilter. She was out at Thanksgiving and I mentioned I needed a new table runner and she came back at Christmas with a perfect table runner for me based on what I needed. She has made over 8 quilts for my home and I love everyone of them. When she mentioned she needed a gift for a fellow quilter I said how about a few quilt cards. So to the craft cave I went yesterday and then when I saw today's challenge I knew I could swipe one of the BG's I started for today's teapot challenge. Not to worry, I am still making her several for her friend.
Die cut the quilt frame and switched out the blocks for white blocks. Stamped the Heartfelt Creations flower and colored with copics. Popped the flower on dimensionals and added some punched branches. Finished off with some sequins and the sentiment.
I would love it if you would check out my Blog: Shoe Girls Cards.
Thank you for looking!

That colour of rose always reminds me of my FIL, he used to have one like that near the front door. What a great patchwork die, Lisa, and a lovely card. How neat that you were already working on a quilting-themed gift and were able to sneak one out of that to make up for the Tickle. I'm sure your MIL will love having a set of "Lisa" cards to give as a gift.

Lisa, this log cabin is so pretty and the rose is gorgeous! The log cabin pattern speaks to me of of the pioneer times, but you have brought this pattern right into contemporary times with the purity of the white, combined with mauve and the little sequins.

This so cool Lisa. While I was thinking of ways to avoid itty bitty pieces, I was wondering if I could do a log cabin pattern...
You are so lucky to have a quilter in the family! Sounds like you and she appreciate each other's talents.

How beautiful - your story and your card. Lisa I know personally how special and beautiful your cards are, your MIL must be thrilled to bits with your quilt cards - I know a lucky Teapotter will be thrilled to bits too.
