Needed a guy get well card, and the idea of a combining an animal print DSP with a 2003 African animal stamp set I had just seemed to click.
The cheetah panel is matted with Chocolate Chip and pierced around the edges. I mounted it atop the circle animal print using adhesive foam dots. The "uh oh!" stamp is from Everyday Expressions.
My favorite part of the card is the "bandage" I sewed around the cheetah's leg. I used white sewing thread and a needle and simply "sewed" several times over the leg to make it look like there was an "up oh!" there.
The "get well wishes" sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and is stamped in Early Espresso.
The "ribbon" was mounted with adhesive foam dots.
The sketch required some kind of "stars" strewn about, so I cut out cheetah spots and mounted them with the foam adhesive dots at the lower left of the card in random placement. One small spot is on the ribbon.
This was kind of a fun card since right away when I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to do a masculine card. It was just a matter of pulling together the themed elements I needed to create it.
