For this Falliday Fest Challenge, Rebecca asked us to incorporate metal, foil tin, metallic cardstock, or metallic paint--to represent Milagros, the folk art she saw in Texas. I ended up making three cards for this challenge; the birthday card will be donated to the St. Francis Hospice card drive. On this card, I tried the Faux Patina technique (from the Splitcoast Tutorial). Unfortunately, I think I overdid the versamark ink/gold embossing powder. I wanted to do it over again, but was out of gold embossing powder! (I see a crafty shopping trip in my future!). But I could see how this should have looked, and once I have more embossing powder, I will definitely try this technique again. For the sentiment, I sponged Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" distress ink. Thanks, Rebecca, you've expanded my crafting horizons!

Fabulous! Great job with the technique. Love the clocks embossing folder. Wonderful birthday card. Someone will be very blessed to receive this one. Thanks for donating! TFS
