I got up early this morning to try out Judy's Heated Copper Accents TLC challenge. I had it all ready to assemble after work - then on the bus I looked at yesterday's Falliday Fest challenges and reckoned that by switching out my birch bark DP for this one, I could call this a card for Lydia's Falliday Fest challenge ;-).
I think I don't have the right copper sheets as mine was very thin, but it did change colour with the blow torch, and makes beautiful ornaments. I tied them to my sprigs with gold cord and added them to the DP after stamping the sentiment and distressing the edges. It's started raining here so it's not the best of photos, but it's time to go and start the housework that I got distracted from this morning.
Thanks, Judy and Lydia.

Heeeeheeeehee. It tickles me that you are using a blow torch. Years ago, everytime my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I said "A blowtorch." He got me one of those baker's torches for melting creme brulee! This is a beautiful card, Sabrina. You have set this challenge on fire--literally

This is beautiful beyond words. I have to giggle every time I hear of a woman using a blow torch on one of her cards! I love that! And you have shown why too because these ornaments are absolutely gorgeous! The dictionary text background and the gorgeous pine elements all lend to a beautiful card that someone will be thrilled with. I hope you share with them that you used a blow torch to make the ornaments. Giggle! ~Karen.
