This is my first time using the linen background stamp. For some reason it went on sorta splotchy, showing all of edges from when I inked it up. Anyone know how to avoid that?

I often like the splotchy look and I think it works great on this card which I love by the way! To loose the splotchiness (sp?) us a brayer to ink up your stamp. Roll the brayers several times over your ink pad to get it well inked than ink up your stamp. You may have to repeat it a couple of times to get good coverage. Than lay your piece of cardstock over the stamp and put some scrap paper over the cardstock (so you don't get ink on your hands) and rub with your hand. Hope this helps!

I love your card and the softness of your linen. I have the brayer but sometimes I'm just too lazy to want to ink it up and I just rub my inkpad all over my BG stamp (doesn't work well with the Print pattern or other solid BG's), usually I try not to get a full coverage effect cause I just love it with a little more character!
