This card is for Sabrina's Technique lovers challenge for this week and what a wonderful challenge.
I had never done this and found it so much fun.
Quick and easy but so effective, love the way it came together.
The trick is to be fairly light handed with your sponging and just build your colors up, I found you really don't need that much sponging to get the effect.
It took me less than an hour so a candidate for VSN.
I dry embossed a small strip of SU Crumb Cake and sponged this with SU Soft Suede, butted this against some SU Very Vanilla and mounted this onto some SU Soft Suede for the inside of the card....and that's all folks.
Cheers
Marg

Wow!!!!! Pinned and faved before I typed a word. Marg this is fabulous, thanks for the sponging tip, my desk is covered in failed attempts. I love the different textures and colours. I just scrolled back for another look...wow this is great!! Being a non traditional Christmas card makes it even more special.

Sorry for missing this earlier in the week! I try to check when someone posts on the challenge thread, but in a crazy week like this was, it's taken me till now to swing by the gallery. It's so effective with just the sequins for emvellishment , and using the little mosaic EF for the background was inspired, so in keeping with the leather look.
