My last few cards have been mixed media. This is not because I have all of a sudden gotten in touch with my inner Dini, but rather, because my MOJO has flown the coop....zippo, zilch, nada (you should see the creative way my auto correct tried to fix those words). When all else fails, throw whatever is nearby onto a piece of heavy weight cardstock and see what appears after all the dust settles. I really did start by taking the white kitchen paper towel that I used to wipe up some spilled gesso
and glued it all lumpy and wrinkled to the CS. Then I glued some scrunched up cheese cloth down and globes of light modeling paste through a stencil. I covered the whole mess with gesso. Next I sprayed delusion sprays, blotted, sprayed, blotted etc etc etc. Since I do not have a single clock stamp or die cut I used the gear die cut, and metal spinner, and wood numbers for a faux clock. All of that was covered with inka gold. I added gold tule, lots of different color perfect pearls dots, and a metal bow with wire wrapped into coils. What a glorious mess I ended up with. My husband wasn't sure if this was a large mistake or what I planned to make. I sure was fun to experiment like this. TFL, Francie

I'm almost speechless! If this is what happens when you lose your mojo, the world better look out when you get it back! Francie, this is spectacular - from the awesome clock you built to the gorgeous background. I LOVE it!!

Francie, This is absolutely fabulous! You create such marvelous works of art when you're playing around and throwing things on your canvas/cardstock or whatever else you're working with. I love all the marvelous textures, the stenciling and colors, the gears. My very favorite thing on this whimsical, fantastical piece of art is the numbers trailing down from the top. This is magical and marvelous!!!!

Oh wow Francie, I would love to sit and watch you create your Mixed Media masterpieces. I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to clock stamps and dies - pure genius that you used clock gears (I have these LOL, never entered my head). I keep scrolling back to take all this in. Francie you MUST hang this up as a reminder that you are SO talented that you don't need mojo!! Thanks for the brilliant description too my friend.

Oh WOW - if only we could all create like this when our MOJO flies out the window and goes on holiday all by itself. Just look at all the incredible layers and brilliant colours. Each time I go back to it to stare some more something else jumps out at me. Tell DH that this is what "creativity" is all about - he he.
