I needed a masculine sympathy card for a friend whose father passed away last week. At first I was going to use my ZIG markers and do a watercolor effect on the tree, but once I started, I realized I liked having the leaf detail, so I grabbed my distress inks and stamped again with the MISTI. Then I stamped again with Versamark and heat embossed. I wasn't sure how I wanted to finish it. Blue sky? No sky? The top was looking empty, but the sentiment didn't really work there either. So I pulled out a script stamp I hadn't used in ages, inked it up with antique linen, did a quick stamp off, and brought it to the top of the card. It's pretty subtle, but along with the sponging, I think it helped fill the space without being distracting.
Thanks so much for looking.

What a beautiful sympathy card to honor someone's father. The colors are stunning on this tree, and I love the subtle script stamping at the top and the subtle sponging around the card. Just beautiful! ~Karen.
