This is for two challenges. I tried the Scrunch Paper Mix-ability challenge today. Sounded fun. So I made my background paper for the left side of this lay out. I liked it and it was fun. I did it by scrunching up paper and putting in acrylic paint and then rubbing on my page. I did it in colors to match my page with the car. Then I had to find the paper to match. Then I stamped my title and punched it out. This Layout took way too much time, because of trying to decide how I was going to do the title. Stamping or using die cut letters already cut, or sticker letters. Talk about over-thinking! This is also for the 3rd VSNB Decatlon challenge. I didn't get the gold, I think maybe the Silver s I used 5 or more of the requirements: At least 4 word title, 4 photos, jounaling strips, embellishments, four colors, panels under the photos. I also would like to say , it is difficult to make these older photos look good. Photo quality is so much better now days. Anyway walking down memory lane! Thanks for looking, and reading if you made it this far. LOL

These pages look great Sharon, I love how you showcased the challenge technique. The photo's look terrific, I need to read more about the painted desert. I know what you mean about the quality of old photos ...and to think we paid a small fortune to have them developed.

I was going to say, only I didn't have much time last night, that it must be great fun revisiting those old photos and bringing back all those memories.

You did a wonderful job making these pictures look great! I do truly understand about photo quality improvements. Your creativity tells a nice story. I like how you made the background. The car stamp is perfect for this spread. TFS

Excellent work joining the two pages with your background technique! The splash of green with the brown works perfectly with these vintage photos that lack much diversity of color.

I love that car paper! And you did awesome with the painting...it looks like the two papers were a match! You got it spot on! Your trip looks fun too! We have a petrified forest not far from here and I've never been there. Perhaps I should plan a fall day trip!
