I used the Serendipity boots stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with Inktense pencils and waxed with Judikins Microglaze.
Top panel - Faux Stamped Leather tutorial, using kraft, and distress inks: squeezed lemonade, wild honey, walnut stain and vintage photo. I used a feather from WPlus9. Brads and piercing, and some frayed cheesecloth so that I can submit this to the current Serendipity challenge to use fabric ;-).
Bottom panel - kraft embossed with Cuttlebug Paisley ef and sponged. I added a star that was on my desk, and a couple of feathers left from a recent MIX challenge. They're hidden when the flap is closed.
Inside I used Spellbinders Bracket Borders #1, a sentiment from SNSS, and a piece of Faux Bandanna from my scrap box.
When I set out to make a sample, I was hoping to end up with a card for my brother who has a birthday this week - but, LOL, I think this will go to my niece next month.

Sabrina, my friend, I think we are gonna have to make you an honorary TEXAN! I love your "tooled leather" - That is a big thing here in El Paso (boot capital of the world) and also right across the border in Juarez, Mexico.

Hey, Sabrina! Being a plain card kinda gal who shies away from math, measuring and all that techniqueing, doesn't mean I sure don't appreciate those who seem to love the challenge of it!! This is very cool, and after seeing the visual to go with the instruction, i just may try to eek out some time to have a go!! Great colours, style, and embellishments on these great pulled up boots thanks for searching out and presenting new techniques for us, or even resurrecting some oldies that we may never have tried. All the new products that come out can put new slants on old techniques!!
