Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to make a card using two of the new In-Colors, Sweet Sugarplum and Dapper Denim, along with Cucumber Crush. The dessert option is two-step stamping.
First I stamped the sentiment in Dapper Denim. I always try for dessert, so I broke out my new Touches of Texture set. I used the inks full strength for the stem and flower outline, then stamped off once to fill in with the Cucumber Crush for the leaves. I stamped off once for the flower fill, then stamped twice, slightly offset, to fill in the flower. I used a Zig marker to fill in the green center of the flower, then added white raised dots with Enamel Accents. I stamped off once for each of the other elements, die cut the panel, and popped it up on the card base, which also has a die cut panel. A few sequins finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Pretty, Barbara - I like the striped bg - so playful! I like the added bling too and the small enamel dots for the flower center - just the right size!

Barbara, your card is very striking!! I love the striped paper and your adding some stitching around the center of the paper is beautiful. The main panel is gorgeous with the speckled background, sequins, and the main feature; that beautiful flower!
