I sponged a card stock with Stampin Up’s Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point and die cut it with Sizzix’s circle dies. I used my wave die and placed it at the border of the sea and sky and cut it, being careful not to cut it all through on the sides. I stamped part of my Lavinia birds stamp and as it is supposed to be a one layer card, I decided to do an inlaid die cut style of my sea “portrait”.I removed a few tendrils from the waves and coloured it in with my Sakura gel sparkle pen but its a pity you can’t see it twinkle in the photo. To keep it really one layer, I added an adhesive plastic on the back of the circle which I had also coloured. The sentiment from Technique Junkie was stamped using Momento tuxedo black dew drop ink and heat embossed with Ranger’s Black embossing powder. I made sure some splatter of powder stayed around the text so it would create a sort of “sandy” texture around it.
