For this week's sketch challenge. I fiddled with the numbers. I wasn't sure if this was a frame or a series of mats. Eh! I gave up and just did what looked good (in my mind, at least). Over-thinking is counter-productive.
I used leftovers (faded fails) from this week's marbling technique challenge. I'd used brown alcohol ink, with some gold mixative. Well, the gold was old and congealed. I shook it up lots, but it still didn't marble. It caused the brown to congeal and left fly-specks that didn't even shine. I tossed both the gold and the silver in the trash. However, I kept the fails and they seem to work with this card. The inside panel is also a marbling fail cut from the same full sheet.

This is beautiful, as usual, Brenda!! I so understand your efforts for achieving a marbled look - I experienced the same! I love the papers you used and the scene is great!

Nice save, Brenda. After all that technique work, it is great that you found a way to make it work, and it really does look perfect with this faded scene. Love the bright framework around it, too.

I love that image done with just a hint of color. The bold colors in your framing is beautiful, Brenda, as well as the frame itself. I admire people like you can use the designer paper we all hoarded so long ago.
