How can you not feel happy with a delicious warm drink in a pretty cup/mug cupped in your hands? While everything was out from my last card, decided to make another to add to my "2016 Send a Smile" card stash. Am anxious to build the stash back up as I heard back from one of the nurses at the LTC facility and it sounds like things are enfolding just the way I had hoped they would. She's given out a few and said some of the social workers have as well. Love it when a plan comes together!
For this card, I decided to create a red and white polka dot cup. Still wanted to include a heart, so did that as well - the perfectionist in me says it isn't positioned as properly as I had wanted, but not so bad that I feel I need to start over. It's all about the "happy," not about perfection. So I'll deal with it. LOL!
For this one, I up'd the size to 4.25" square to allow for a wider mat. I also layered 2 pieces of lightweight cardstock under the focal panel to give it just a wee bit of dimension.
Again, TFL!!

Debbie, I will never tire of your style and think that your "send a smile" idea is such a great one! Who wouldn't smile at receiving this gorgeous card. Your cards are always done to perfection and I sure don't see how the heart is positioned incorrectly! Looks perfect to me!

Oh, Debbie, I agree with Nancy that your cards are made to perfection - so clean, simple, and elegant! I love this cup and the sweet little heart, and what a great sentiment. And of course, I love your perfect matting and love how you've simply added a couple of layers of card stock to "pop" your focal image - genius! Hugs, sweet friend!
