Her bright yellow, grey and white color combo is a welcomed changed from the earth tones I usually use for my western cards. I loved her grey wood background. For this second card, I used the hardwood background stamp on the white card base in Smokey Slate ink and then sponged it to soften the contrast. This card is for my hubby who is my one and only. I stamped the sentiment on white and then again on Curry & window punched out the words I wanted to highlight. The strip for the sentiment that I used was not wide enough for the full deco label die-cut, but for this card, I like it with the curve cut off at the top & bottom. I painted part of the design in curry & slate, sponged the edges, added the brads and raised it up. It will not be mailed, so I didn't have to be concerned with weight or bulk.
For my CASE, I changed the following:
Cute & girly to masculine
Paper piecing (super cute) to solid stamping
Layout is altered, so that it's not a CASE of the sketch
Different sentiment
Added brads
No circles or star
Wonderful card for inspiration. This was a fun card to put together.
Congrats MochaFrap! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards with us.
