Making dinner is not my fav thing to do, so my mind tends to wander...which might explain my frequent cooking disasters. When my kids were younger they believed me when I said, "yes, it really is supposed to taste like that". It doesn't work anymore. While I was making dinner I started to experiment with alcohol inks. Since no one got sick, I am fairly certain that that I did not add the rubbing alcohol instead of red wine to the stew. I dripped alcohol ink onto the cardstock and blew through a straw....works better if you have a can of compressed air. Then I applied the alcohol with a Q-tip. Since I am not a fan of sugar, my sweet treats are fruits, especially strawberries.

Stamps: unknown sweets set... I think it is Inkadinkado.
Paper: glossy white CS
Paper Size: A2
Ink: adirondak red and 2 shades of green, stayz on black
Accessories: drinking straw (my sons went to fast food for lunch and I had them grab me a steaw), o-tips, alcohol (the type for cuts, although the type you drink would have come in handy as I struggled to get this to work).

LOL at the different types of alcohol! The rich vibrant colours make for great juicy looking fruit, and I am guessing that the lovely circle textures are from the straw and the rubbing alcohol. It looks cool!

You are funny, Francie! I can see the straw lines perfectly. Lovely colors for your yummy strawberries....pretty country ribbon and bow against the images and black cb!

Wow, what a fun, vibrant background for your luscious strawberries! The black and white gingham ribbon is a perfect accent to these bright colors. Oh, and perfect placement of the sentiment!

Beautiful! I have been experimenting with alcohol inks and I can tell you that my samples look absolutely nothing like this. Mostly mud I think. Your card is so bright and cheerful I just love looking at it. Good you didn't switch the alcohols - makes for a much better meal, which I am sure was also fabulous.

Love your berries (and here I called Onion Soup "French Soup" and the kids were young and didn't know what they were eating. When they figured it out, they knew and loved it.) I think as Moms we are allowed a little latitude!! I love your bright colors (as usual), Francie!

Your backgrounds are always spectacular, Francie and love that the colors fell where you needed them on the stamp! I love that technique and it works well with regular reinkers too and no straw. I too am not a fan of sugar. So there are two of us on this planet (grin).

Just when I was beginning to think we're kindred spirits, my balloon was burst. I recently made a birthday cake where I inadvertently poured Lysol into the mix rather than canola oil. That was it for me. I gave up cooking and baking at the same time. No, silly woman, you didn't need any alcoholic beverage while crafting this wonderful card. you and alcohol go well together. Do you find the straw more effective that just turning the paper? I love your card: it's bright, bold, intriguing and fun. They don't get any better than this.
