For today's WT: Our little corner of the world. I live just minutes from an entrance to Skyline Drive.
The Appalachian Trail is a 2,181-mile public footpath that traverses some of America's most scenic, wooded, pastoral, wild, and culturally resonant lands.
Shenandoah National Park includes a 101-mile portion of the Appalachian Trail. The trail traces the ridge of the Blue Ridge mountains, often following the same route as Skyline Drive. The trail crosses Skyline Drive numerous times in the park.
There is lots of masking and sponging for the mountains and sky. For the greenery I used a stamp from Watercolor Minis in Garden Green to stamp several times creating foliage in the forefront. I then stamped the trees in Mossy Meadow. Thanks for stopping by today, and thank you, Linda for a fun challenge! ~Roberta

Your amazing card really does justice to your corner of the world! Your sponged colours show the magnificent scenery so perfectly. I have noticed the backdrop to your cards in the past and thought how lovely it looked ... now I know why!

Wow, Roberta - those sponged mountains are amazing. At first I thought you had used a photograph for your background and just added the treeline and greenery in the foreground. I always love rolling mountains layered in the distance like that. We get to see them a lot in the West here - but usually also obscured by cloud and rain, LOL. Thanks for sharing such a great description of your local scenery too, I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful card featuring a beautiful part of the country! I've been fortunate enough to visit VA and your area many years ago and it's gorgeous!! You are very lucky to live there. You really captured the mountains and the lovely trees.

Beautiful. I went to college in the Shenandoah Valley and my in-laws still live here, so luckily I get to see gorgeous scenes like this in person from time to time.
