This is my card for Michelle's challenge; visiting Scotland, we are asked to use plaid. I thought about revisiting Tim Holtz's alcohol ink plaid technique, but I love this Basic Grey DP - and also I used a plaid ef and sanded it. My grandfather was Scottish, and when we were little we used to love looking through a little book which all the different Scottish tartans. I could be remembering wrongly, but I think his was Murray of Atholl.
I did some wrinkle-free distress on a piece of white card, added the plaid strip and stamped my flower. After colouring with pencils I stamped over it with Canvas. It's framed with the embossed plaid piece, and I added a plaid button with the sentiment to finish it off.

Cute little scene! The way you framed it and stamped the canvas texture it looks like a painting. The plaid button is the perfect extra touch. Thanks for playing my challenge

I love the colour of the tartan and the terrific setting. The dry embossed background adds great texture. You have such a wonderful rich heritage Sabrina - Scottish, French, Canadian...
