This is for Lydia's fun mixed media challenge - we are sending get well wishes to Alison in New York. Alison is one of the very special people that makes the magic happen behind the scene here at SCS. I hope the magic of Miss Krazy Kardashian puts a smile on Alison's face. A get well message is written on the back along with a little magnet.
The background started out life as an A4 piece of cardstock. Start with Dylsuions Ink sprays (spray onto aluminium foil, squirt on a bucket load of water and dunk cardstock in it). Now do a few smacks on the foil with distress inks, squirt on water, dunk cardstock in inky puddle. Using the same piece of foil, dribble some Izink on the foil and squirt on a lot more water. Lay the cardstock over the Izink. Izink is really thick so you might need to firmly bang your hand on the cardstock to get the colour to take. The white part in the top righthand corner is a good example of where the colour didn't adhere so well, but I liked the look so I left it.
Once cardstock was air dried, I cut a 4" wide panel for this project. The remaining cardstock goes straight into my stash for another day.
Miss Kardashian was stamped on a piece of mixed media card from my stash. Her hat and handbag are stamps from an Art Deco stamp set by Creative Stamping - fussy cut and add liquid pearls and white paint pen. The shoes are knock-off Unity boots, slightly modified.
Normal leggins' were never going to work with this outfit, so fishnet stockings were created. I stamped a Prima fishnet stamp onto a scrap of cardstock using StazOn gothic purple ink, then lightly swished a foam blender containing traces of walnut stain distress ink to take the harsh white look away. Using a piece of acetate packaging, I drew the shape of the legs I wanted to make sure they would look ok. Lay the acetate over the fishnet cardstock and cut out the shape.
Add background stamping - the city skyline is a RAK from sweet Kathleen Lammie. The water drops are hand-drawn using my favourite ever MM challenge, Lydia's MIX105 here. The doohickies and doodled border were added befor adhering Miss Kardashian to the card.
I had heaps of fun making this, but I couldn't get a good photograph, it is much brigher in real life. Thank you for looking.
EDIT: After reading Ellen's (Eager Beaver) comments and laughing until I leaked, I can see that Miss Kardashian's leg is upside down LOL.

Positively wonderful, CREATIVE card Susie! As always, the inked and stamped bkgrd is fabulous. You have created another amazing bird character. Love her fishnets, lacy skirt, hat with trim, sparkly purse ... all of the details are fantastic! For certain, this will brighten Alison's day and be a keeper. Your cards always make me smile. Thank you!

Susie.....Do you ever eat or sleep??? You've really been cranking these out lately. And they're all Fantastically Spectacular! How DO you do it?
This is Great! I LOVE IT! What an Amazing job you've done! Ms. K is obviously out on the town and dressed to knock the socks off of all the eligible bachelors out there. Oh, Susie.....those leggings are NOT from the Leggings Store. I can see they are from a posh boutique on Fifth Avenue. Her leggings are absolutely Exquisite. At least $500 a pair. You really put your all into bringing those into existence (what a clever idea)! Beautiful! They go so well with her attractive lace skirt, necklace and adorable hat. Love the purse tucked over her wing...and the matching shoes are so Elegant! The next morning, however, when she's recuperating from her big night out, she may want to consider seeing a chiropractor about her right knee.
I've been staying up too late these last few nights. I read your description saying that you might need to firmly bang your head on the cardstock to get the color to take. That made me think that should you guys ever need a little extra cash your husband could put a sign in front of your house and charge people for watching you create your masterpieces. I see now that it's "hand".
Good Night and Good Morning, Susie. Thanks again for sharing your Wonderful creations with us.

Oh no, just when I thought I'd heard from all the Kardashians, another one pops up! You clever gal! One of these days I'm trying your smack and squirt technique!

Your backgrounds are always magical, Susie, with so many little details to discover. I totally love the fishnet / chickenwire tights...stockings...whatever you call them in your neck of the woods. ASA young child I remember being totally baffled by a Canadian great-aunt referring to pantyhose.

Oh Boy - did I laugh too when I saw those legs. I knew there is something definitely wrong with that knee joint - but put it down to a severe case of arthritis. I could lend her a couple of my anti-inflammatory tablets - they should help her but she should really see a Doctor - or give up dancing the night away. As for the fish net stockings - absolutely fabulous. Another wonderful creation. I do love the way you use these crazy birds and the characters you create.

Susie.......thanks not only for your amazing creations, but the laughter you bring to this site with your imagination. You are beyond clever! The knee joint reminds me of how the finger of the notifier of "S" will look this week. Fav'd
