I was under instructions from DH to have an easy relaxing day today... 4 attempts at trying to switch our energy provider online for a cheaper bill, 2 attempts with a different supplier and then finally I had to ring, I think I definitely deserved some me time to make a card almost just for fun. Almost, because I'd peeped at the Unity challenge blog this morning, and while normally I run a mile from a colour challenge, this one appealed to me. This wasn't actually the stamp I was planning to use, but I reckoned that if I used it, I could squeeze in the sketch too.
Image stamped on vellum with Rangers Archival black and coloured on the back with Polychromos pencils. I hand-embossed round it with the swirl ef, and stitched it to the DP.
Sentiment stamped on kraft and die-cut with what is meant to be a wooden sign but which I thought picked up well on the sentiment. I added a couple of chevron strips along the top, and some metal snowflakes.

Love the wooden look of your side panels, covered with snowflakes, and the bird perched on the branch all bundled up for winter, giving a very sound message to us - like that you put it on the "wood" plague!! Your colors worked together wonderfully and your rick rack and stitching really enhance this card - another fantastic card, Sabrina!!

I never would have thought to use colored pencils on the back of vellum, and this looks so pretty! I think the embossing the vellum really kicked it up notch and you've done a lovely job of framing out the image with the snowflakes, chevrons and sign. Beautiful!

I LOVE this! There is so much going on here and it's all fabulous. The vellum was a wonderful idea, and I love the woodgrain background, but what really grabbed me was the sentiment. Straight into my favorites!
