This is for LoriÂ’s fabulous HYCCT challenge to stop and smell the roses. Also, my card came from inspiration I found in kimjolleyÂ’s beautiful gallery for the Featured Stamper challenge. From KimÂ’s card linked below, I was inspired with: the color combo, image, sentiment banner, use of velum. I loved the orange, yellow and olive combo. Her flower stem reminded me of this rose stamp. I like the sentiment strip across the flower stem. I didnÂ’t want to cover up anything on the image. KimÂ’s use of velum inspired the use of it for my sentiment strip. I heat embossed the sentiment on the velum and attached with a brad and a couple drops of glue behind the words. Two great challenges! Thanks Lori! I loved using my too-often-neglected rose stamp that IÂ’ve had forever. Thanks Kim for sharing your beautiful cards and inspiring my card today! Thanks for looking.

Oh, coral is my favorite color and how awesome it looks with the green and white. Your rose is soooo pretty in yellow, too. It's always awesome to use some of our neglected stamps, isn't it? You made such a beautiful card.

I love that (neglected) rose image. How pretty it looks in yellow!! The slight change in layout is really pretty, and the big gem on the sentiment strip is a nice addition!

This is beautiful -- love that layout with the diagonal diamond. Fab coloring too!
