I broke out my brand new Ken Oliver color burst (and made a huge mess!), and Tim Holtz Distressed inks and rock salt for the background. The little sail boat was stamped an die cut using a Papertrey Ink set, and stamped with the MISTI tool. Got to watch to tutorial on using MISTI with wood mounted stamps. Could have used it to get a darker image of the sentiment. Will just have to chalk it up to a “distressed” look ;)

I thought that slightly worn look was intentional! It is beautiful. Marvelous sentiment and love how the colors and composition echo it. I didn't get so many variations in my background, but I'm learning to embrace the unpredictable nature of all of this as you are :-)

this is just so lovely! Your salt worked magic on this! I can see clouds parting and gorgeous rays of color coming through! so very perfect with the sail boat on the water. Kismet! Thank you for playing! <3

I love the intensity of colour you achieved for your background! The sentiment is one of my favourites and works perfectly with your little sail boat. Great card!
