The background was created on watercolor paper...I sponged over a doily mask blending distress inks. Layered the flourish and rose popping it with dimensionals. I added a few enamel dots that I colored with E81 Copic to tone down the white a bit (the watercolor paper is not bright white) so they blended better. I chose not to add a sentiment as there was already enough going on.
