I have mentioned before that I am a middle aged ( I haven't decided if 57 is still middle aged, or just plain old) boring dental hygienist. I wear mostly grey and black, and rarely drive over the speed limit. My cards must be the the incarnation of some alter ego that pops up at 2am when Dolly the insomniac dog decides that sleeping is a waste of time. This is a little weirder than usual....my brain is a little fried after 2 harrowing encounters with rats in my garage. A few weeks ago while sorting some stamps that I am selling for my sister, I found this flower shadow stamp. I have never used shadow stamps and decided to try this set. It looked awful, so I added doodles to the flower and drew the stems and leaves. I made 2 sets and used the first set on a color challenge card a few weeks ago. I had sponged distress inks on a canvas a few weeks ago, so I sponged more ink on the newspaper, tore it and glued it down. Then I stamped checks and splatters, glued more newspaper over parts that I didn't like, added white paint, and repeated that process a few times until it looked OK. Then I tore the big doodled flowers out and glued them down. The little flowers were punched from the sponged newspaper, covered with glossy accents, shaped and glued down. There are so many covered over mistakes that I finally just had to stop before it took a fork lift to pick it up. I hope to see your creations in the F4A292 gallery. TFL, Francie

Francie, I always know which cards are yours. Love how bright this is, the doodles (Francie trademark) and the layers. Sorry to hear the rat problem goes on. Seems like Dolly could be some help ; )

It's always a "happy day" to see a card from you in the gallery, Francie. I remember your amazing upgrade of these stamps from last time, all that doodling is incredible. The little checked centre on one is so dimensional that it looks like a brad. The little masses of punched flowers are just beautiful.
Sorry to hear you haven't got rid of the rat yet, I hope he bites the dust soon.
When my brother turned 35 he started going on about being middle-aged, which was definitely premature!! When we were growing up, we had big old storage-heaters in the sitting room and dbining room: big enough for three people to sit on comfortably, but the age at which one was allowed to sit on them went up as my parents got older. Needless to say we still sat on them, underage or not ;-).

Flowers, flowers and more flowers. Combined with your love of bright colors, this really makes for a stunning card, Francie. You go to great lengths on any card that you create for this challenge and they are all marvelous.
