"And all at once, summer collapsed into fall." ~Oscar Wilde
Maura is our hostess this week, and she has given us the wonderful autumn colors of Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Garden Green. Our dessert option is trees or leaves. The colors and the dessert option go together perfectly!
I must say I am STILL not ready to say good-bye to summer, but alas! I think the seasons are changing without my permission.
My card features a windswept tree with autumn leaves, most of which are still hanging on (as am I)! I stamped the trunk on Bristol paper with Early Espresso ink, and the outlines of the leaves with VersaFine Black Onyx, then colored the leaves with a selection of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I framed the circle with a pierced circle frame, and popped the whole thing up on fun foam.
My background is a very popular technique that I've played around with only minimally, but am getting to like a lot, Wrinkle-Free Distress. I used Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade, and Fired Brick on Mixed Media cardstock for my background.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

A beautiful Autumn scene! I love your background and we used the same colors (except for Fozzilized Amber) and I took my Mowed Lawn out because it didn't look as good as yours. I started over. :( Love your tree and the colorful leaves.
