Today's card was made with a heavy heart. My community was rocked yesterday with the senseless murders of two of our local news people- Alison Parker, a reporter, and Adam Ward, a cameraman. I cannot even begin to describe the emotions that we all feel at this time. We all deal with grief in different ways. I turned to my stamp room for comfort. In times like these I always feel that I need to do something and I often struggle with knowing what to do. I know my card is a small gesture, but I know that it will be appreciated. In fact, I made this card as much for me as I did for our local CBS channel WDBJ 7. It helped me express my sorrow in a creative way. Please pray for our community and our nation. There is just too much evil in our world. Thanks for listening and God bless you all.
PS: I want to thank Freshly Made Sketches and Create with Connie and Mary for providing me with vehicles in which to express myself.

Your card is a beautiful and touching expression of your grief. I'm so sorry for your grief and that of the community. These violent attacks happen so often and shake our very core of security. Prayers for peace and strength for all.

A beautiful card made for such a solemn occasion. The patterns in the DSP and embossing compliment each other beautifully. Thanks for playing along with us at Create with Connie and Mary!

It is wonderful that we can turn to our creativity in difficult times. This is a lovely expression of what you are feeling. I really love how the sentiment is surrounded by the bright hopeful color. Thank you for joining us at Create with Connie and Mary! Your community, and especially the reporters and their families, are in my thoughts and prayers.
I was stunned over this tragedy and my heart goes out to you and your community. Your card is a beautiful reminder that stamping cards is not just a fun hobby. It is also a way we can bless others while providing comfort for ourselves.
