My first upload! I put a lot of time and detail and cutting into this card (thus the difficulty 4), but it was so much fun! In order to get the dimension on the window, I cut the opening into the brick wall and adhered the green inside wall behind it. I outlined the entire window frame with foam squares which added more depth, leaving room for the pleated shade to fit into. I used the white craft ink on the embossing folder to put the 'mortar' between the bricks. I used the background stamp first with Versamark then rust on the bricks to give the appearance of texture. The indoor flower spray and birdhouse were colored with SU markers. Everything was hand-cut, no dies. Thanks for looking!

Oh, Maria, congratulations on your first upload, and it's gorgeous! All the work you put into it really shows, and the detail is amazing! I love how real the brick looks, and I especially love the window with the pleated shade - how sweet is that?? I'm a big fan of fussy cutting, and I admire your beautiful work. This card is going to be loved! I know you will find a lot of inspiration and encouragement here at SCS, and we look forward to seeing your gallery grow. And I hope you might check out the weekly challenges on the Home Page. Thanks for sharing this beautiful card, and I'm tickled that it's your very first and so wonderful! Hugs!
