Sabrina's WT539 was to do "tiles or grids". I went with Beate's grid technique found HERE.
I first scored my white CS, then using a craft sheet, TH distress inks and a water mister, laid a stencil on the wet inks. I then placed the wet stencil on the scored white CS for my background.
Where it looks yellow on the butterflies is really Viva Gold. It is highly reflective and doesn't photograph accurately......neither do the Mr. Huey's shimmer sprays on the bg panel. So it goes.

Oh I bet this is a feast for the eyes in real life Sallie! Photography is a wonderful tool but doesn't take the place of our eyes. :-) I can see the shimmery sequins and with your description imagine the play of light on this beauty of a card! Gorgeous!

No matter what technique you use, Sallie, it is always a masterpiece. This is gorgeous.

Into my favourites with this one. Like Cathy, I can imagine the shimmer. The soft colours are so summery - I feel as if I'm beside a lake with the willow drooping down and the butterflies flitting around.

The gold is an awesome highlight to the butterfly, and the is gorgeous. Your bg of distress inks is beautiful!
