My middle son, Ryan, was in an automobile accident in 2006 when he was 21 years old. He was a belted passenger in a car that went off the road into a 9" ditch and right into a tree. Among many internal serious injuries. Ryan suffered a traumatic brain injury and I felt compelled to scrapbook his recovery, mostly for him as he doesn't remember a whole lot of what happened.
3 1/2 weeks after Ryan's accident, he was in a 'minimally conscious' state, meaning his eyes would open, but there was no recognition or response. He was moved from the Trauma Hospital to a Rehab Facility. As you can see, my pages are a little brighter as we are now pretty assured that Ryan would survive his internal injuries and would now have to really work hard on his traumatic brain injury.
