Now, this was a very difficult card for me to make and I need your opinion....yesterday, a little boy in my church turned 9. He has been on life support and the family has made the very difficult, heart-breaking choice to take him off life support today. Is this card appropriate...or should I do something with flowers? I did not know this family, but my heart is heavy for the pain they are going through. Any comments or suggestions...I'm wide open as I want to do it right.
Enjoy your day, Naomi...you should join us in the daily challenges so we can see more of your lovely creations!

Oh my goodness, that is the perfect sentiment to go with these feather die cuts. Love how you have them draping downward rather than perking upward, for a sympathy card. Really lovely! My heart is heavy too, for this little boy and his family. I'll keep them in my prayers today. And thanks for the nice comments! I do participate in the daily challenges when I have time - which is mostly in the summer (I'm a teacher). This time of year is especially busy, so I've only made 3 cards this month so far! Such is life!

I stopped at several of Naomi's feather cards before settling on the card I CASEd. Your card is just lovely, Vicky, and the sentiment is very soothing. I think it is quite appropriate.

I think this is heartfelt and beautiful Vicky and very comforting. It is most appropriate for a little boy - so very sad for his family, a terrible situation, but I am sure his family will cherish this beautiful card.

Oh Vicky, how sad your post is, and how brave his family have been. I think feathers are often associated with comfort after bereavement, and I think your card will be treasured.

I'm sorry that I just went back and read your post. That is so very sad Vicky. I think anything from your heart is good and will be cherished. We always think there is one perfect answer (or at least I know I do.) I'm sure the family will really appreciate your lovely handmade card.
