 | | Mary gave us the fun challenge to use the soon to be retired SU In Colors for today's color challenge. The challenge was to use 2 or more of the colors - I chose Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding.
This card took FOREVER to make. I usually make much simpler cards and don't use that many die cuts, but I wanted to try last week's sketch (such a nice, versatile sketch), and this is what I came up with for the colors. I sponged some Colorbox chalk ink in Warm Green onto the leaves because I just can't really see that Pistachio shade as a green for foliage, so I cheated a little! I used a stylus and mouse pad to add some veining to the leaves.
Dessert was to use sequins and/or twine. I don't have any sequins so I die cut some small circles and use my piercing tool to put holes in the centers. Thanks for taking a look! |
