Hurrah for Polly!! She is the Featured Stamper this week......and most deserving of this long-awaited honor. Polly participates regularly in the daily challenges(and probably other ones that I am unaware of) with her creative retro/vintage cards. She has a distinctive style that makes her cards readily identifiable. Besides creating cards, she makes many, many kind and thoughtful comments on others cards.

I chose this CARD of hers as my inspiration with its music-filled bird. Her card is bright and lively and mine, much more subdued. It looks like the bird is popped up, but it isn't......the bg shading gives that effect.

Delightful background you created with your stencil and sponging - I did think the bird was popped up until I read about the shading you did - so realistic !! Love the way you finished off your out-of-the-box bird with the white gel pen to accent his wings! Great note to drop a few lines to a friend!

LOVE this card and what you have done with the bird. It not only looks like it is popped up, it looks like it is standing up. Amazing job done with the bg shading. I have this stamp and have never used it....until now. Thanks for the inspiration. My favorites gallery continues to fill with your wonderful creations.
