I am on a roll this week... I never make 4 cards in one week. Thanks to Dolly the insomniac dog, I have had a lot of extra crafting hours at 3 a.m every night this week. Extra crafting time...YEAH! The down side is that I look like the bride of Frankenstein from lack of sleep. There are a few things that stem from making cards when normal people are asleep and only the vampires are awake. First, I am limited to whatever supplies are on the dining room table - rumaging through the coat closet where I keep my craft stuff would wake my family up. My copics in this week's CC526 were out, so that is what I used. I also "design as I go, or as the errors force me to go" since inteligent thought processes aren' t always working at that hour. I was coloring in the image when the reds bled everywhere. With no blending pen in sight to remove the bleeding, I decided to forget about the lines and used lighter copics to carry the colors into the white space. At that point thinhs were not looking too good, so I looked in the kitchen for some ideas. There was a trial size bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter, so I squeezed a few blobs onto the card, took a bathroom break, and then wiped them off. I used the pointed tip of the copics to add outline dots around the areas where the hand sanatized had removed the copids. My little crafting partner, Dolly, liked the results. TFL, Francie

Personally speaking, my intelligent thought processes are NEVER working at that hour - if I'm really awake I might do a jigsaw if I happen to have one out, but that's it. I'm always amazed at how you manage to be so creative in the small hours - with or without limited supplies. Those colours are just beautiful - being restricted to them was certainly no hardship. Isn't red just the worst for bleeding!! But your rescue is perfect, it adds a dreamy halo to the flowers.

A color combination that always seems to be an attention-grabber with its boldness. Great looking and designed card, Francie. Your image panel has such a feeling of movement.

That's what I call a happy accident - this is fabulous! What a wonderful image, and I'm glad those were the Copics you left out. I love that you seem to always find a work around, even if it might seem weird. The hand sanitizer idea was genius! Seems to me your brain works quite well in the middle of the night!
