 | | Unfortunately, I am going to need this soon, for the cousin of the friend I have been sending cards to for the last year :-(. So, I used the current ODBD sketch, and also for today's WT527 Watercolour Backgrounds brought to us by Cathy, I used embossing resist with watercolour for the base, and also tucked in a piece of watercolour bokeh background - tutorial link in Cathy's challenge write-up.
Card base sponged with Antique Linen.
Next layer - chalkboard lattice embossed with white ep and I used two shades of green paint.
Image stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with watercolour, trimmed, edges sponged with Antique Linen, matted on black. The lattice layer, embossd vellum and bokeh layers are all edged with a gold pen.
I spent a long time making a circle sentiment to fit with the sketch but visually it just seemed to weigh the card down. In fact, I started all over again and made another one and it still didn't look right - so I stamped a small sympathy sentiment on the image panel and subbed some lace and a seam binding bow for that element of the sketch. |
