 | | This is my card for the MMTPT350 challenge "That's What Friends Are For" - we were asked to send cards of encouragement to fellow SCSer Kyra Sanders, who lost her father recently. Bunnies or hares reward you with extra cookies.
I used the MISTI to stamp the image on heavy cream cs using Memento Tuxedo Black, leaving the stamp in the MISTI. The image was colored with Spectrum Noir markers, and Spun Sugar Distress ink was sponge through a stencil to create the background. I then restamped the image with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear ep. The small "prayers and love" is heat embossed as well.
I created the brown card base and punched the card front. I attached the image to a pink layer that shows only on the left side and attached it to the card. There is a punched strip of pink cs lining the inside of the card front; it's trimmed 1/8 inch narrower than the card front to show the inside back of the card. I added the black cs die cut "Sending" with Multi Medium. The pink vellum was adhered to a piece of Stick It adhesive before the "hugs" was die cut and placed on the card.
I hope this brings a bit of joy to Kyra's heart. It will go in the mail today.
As always, thanks for looking!
