 | | Combining today's MIX114 Smooth Like Glass challenge from Jeanne with Robin's great F4A267 Flower Power challenge.
I'd just been thinking I hadn't used this die in a long time, and had been planning to pull it out. Then, I specially bought this sentiment from Serendipity because, from the dimensions given on-site, I thought it would work with my world die.
I've been busy finishing off a new shirt for DH all morning, so this was made in instalments, I'll try to remember everything!
Cut the daisy and misted liberally with homemade mister. Stamped the sentiment, die-cut it, sponged it, took out the sea bits and sponged all the earth bits darker, re-assembled it.
Stamped and embossed the leaves on the dictionary page, then misted and sponged with blue. Edged with white acrylic paint and sprinkled some glitter over.
For Jeanne's challenge I used the leaf dies from Verve's poppy set to cut raindrops from old plastic packaging. You can't see them very clearly (you might see one near the top right corner), so I also added a page-pebble to my little ladybird. Sequins and spots of paint finish it off; the upper layer of petals and the sentiment are both on foam tape.
This is a busy-busy weekend here, so I'll catch what I can when I can!! |
